Self Help

Self referrals can be done without seeing your GP. All you need to do is call the number of the service you require.

Tyneside Integrated Musculoskeletal Service

You can call us on 0191 4452643 to arrange an appointment, or for advice call the TIMS Helpline on the number at the bottom of the page.

You can contact the TIMS Helpline for advice, information and support on musculoskeletal pain if you are:

  • 16 and older and registered with a Gateshead or Newcastle GP practice.
  • A clinical stakeholder working in primary or secondary care in Newcastle and Gateshead CCG.

The TIMS Helpline is open:

  • Tuesday 9:30am to 3:30pm
  • Wednesday 9:30am to 12.00pm
  • Thursday 9:30am to 3:30pm

What we do...

Our team of experienced workers support people to enable them to overcome their problems when they feel anxious, depressed or stressed.

Gateshead Talking Therapies offer a free and confidential NHS service for people aged 16 and over who are registered with a GP in Gateshead. We provide a range of psychological therapies to help you feel better if you’re anxious, depressed, stressed or worried.

We offer information courses, therapy groups and one-to-one therapy.

We have been operating for over 10 years within the NHS and have built up a qualified and experienced workforce. Our therapies are evidence based as recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE).
